Ginger Root - Rikki [LP]

Released in the midst of COVID-19, Rikki the third Ginger Root LP is a large step forward creatively and sonically. The release date was postponed from June 2020 to October because of the ongoing pandemic. Coming off their first major US and European touring Lew honed in his focus for his next LP that produced fan-favorite singles like ˜Le Chateau, and ˜Karaoke. This project was once again paired with music videos and other compelling visual content directed by Lew himself. Having to work through tight COVID restrictions led to content mainly featuring only Cameron as the center actor. In the music video for ˜Karaoke, Lew used cardboard cutouts of stock photo office workers to fill his Office Space esq shooting location. The character Lew created for himself through the music videos was forming a clearer identity. Some of the minor characters in the expanding Ginger Root universe were making re-occurring appearances to the delight of the fans paying extra close attention.
